Via a good mate, I received an invite to participate I a new technology called “Project Rush”. According to the blurb at adobe.com, it will apparently “make editing and sharing online videos fast and easy. It works on all your devices. And it’s going to transform the way you create”.
Yeah, yeah, they all say that. In fact, Adobe has had Adobe Clip, an Android / iOS app, for quite a while now.
But it seems Project Rush might be a little more extensive than Clip, with – again as the Adobe website says “Go from shoot to showtime in record time. Built-in camera functionality helps you to take pro-quality video on your mobile devices. Editing is easy, with simple tools for colour, audio, motion graphics and more. And share directly from the app to your favourite social channel”.
It seems you can add animated titles right inside the app, with the ability to change the colour, size and font to suit the day. And it is (of course) cloud based, including edits, so you can work on your PC or Mac, tablet or smartphone to create your masterpiece and send to your social media chums for approval, like and hopefully, forwarding to their buddies.
Buy there is one drawback. Well one and a bit. You cannot Project Rush it now. You can only apply to join the beta. In fact, in the blurb, Adobe suggests you and it should be “building Project Rush together”.
If you want more, all there is to see is at https://www.adobe.com/au/products/project-rush.html including sign up options.
We have and will keep you posted. What we DID find interesting is that there has been no PR release as yet. And you will notice that from the quotes we have lifted unashamedly from Adobe’s website (unchanged by us) and the web address, it is Aussie based…. An Aussie initiative perhaps.
THAT would be exciting if so!
