Adobe Premiere Pro CC to support Apple ProRes natively?

Our friends at Red Shark are reporting that finally Adobe is indicating ProRes RAW will be supported natively inside Premiere Pro CC.

It is already supported inside FCP X, Avid Media Composer and Grass Valley EDIUS and so this will bring Adobe’s editing package into line with the industry standards.

Of course, at the moment in Amsterdam in the Netherlands we have IBC 2019, and up until now Adobe’s main news for Premiere Pro has been the introduction of auto reframe which uses Sensei AI and  machine learning technology to automatically reframe and reformat video content across different aspect ratios.

We don’t have a timeframe as yet or whether it be cross-platform but Red Shark are betting that it will be an integral piece of Premiere Pro CC rather than a plug-in.

Of course it remains to be seen if the one major package still not in the folder of ProRes, Vegas, will follow suit.
