The EU has just decreed that in effect, after 2024, USB-C will be the only standard acceptable for chargers for mobile phones, laptops, e-readers, earbuds, keyboards, computer mice, and portable navigation devices.
No doubt this will REALLY piss Apple off, but hey, it means at last we have a unified policy that allows innovation to hopefully flourish in such areas as wireless charging.
And manufactuters only have to include a single cable for devices like gimbals, drones and so on, thus cutting costs.
Yay says I!
