It was John Lennon who sang about “Number 9” on the Beatles White album, and a weird song it was – all sound effects and the strange “Number 9, number 9, number 9” lyrics over the top.
On the surface thoug, there is nothing overtly weird about the newly released GoPro 9 – with the caveat we haven’t as yet seen it, and fervently hope it doesn’t take 12 long months before we do as happened with the 7 and 8.
So with that in mind, all we have to go off is the official press release below, suitable edited to remove any over-the-top superlatives.
One point I will make though, is that unless GoPro rapidly give access to the “Mods” that were promised with 8 and also mentioned in 9, the company will have some very unhappy punters who need access to external audio and HDMI out in particular.
COVID-19 is NOT an excuse here we will accept and nor should anyone else. Besides, it has been used by so many companies for so many things now it has reached “cry wolf time” on THAT one…
