Well, well, what a surprise – no not really.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that DJI is about to release another iteration of the Mini series drones, this time called the “SE”.
Rumours have been flying around for a couple of weeks since ever since the name at least was spotted in a Walmart catalogue and on a website in the US.
Slated to weigh only around 249g and have a range of around 5Km, suggestions also point to it having the newer Mini 2’s controller rather than the clumsy one released for the original Mini (well I think it is clumsy). The 3 axis gimbal will reportedly have a 2.7K camera and battery life is said to be 30 minutes.
Guesses as to pricing range around the AUD$388 mark, but to date, DJI’s lips are firmly sealed on all aspects of the rumours.
We’ll keep you posted, but if this is even pretty close to being right, then it will open up the world of flying to a lot more people.
