New Logitech “StreamCam”

Logitech has announced a new web camera for video streaming. Timely no?

Called “StreamCam”, it features 1080p/60 fps video, USB-C connectivity, and flexible mounting options. Logitech say if you use it with their Logitech Capture software, you also get the benefit of automatic exposure, framing and stabilisation (although if it is sitting atop your monitor, why you need stanilisation is beyond me unless you are on a train or something).

Also supported with Capture are facial recognition, vertical video and the option to switch between stereo and dual mono. StreamCam can also be used with the XSplit software we reviewed back in July last year.

You can get it in either white or “graphite” and it costs $229.95. We have requested a review unit and will let you know when we have had a play.
