Preview: TCL NXTWEAR G Glasses

In the past many people have bagged my thoughts on what I call the extensions of “normal” video, primarily my enthusiasm for 3D and 360° footage.

Maybe I was on the wrong tack with 3D, although movie goers still seem to like it. But 360° video and stills are hanging in there, with new uses being found daily apart from the obvious gimmick factor.

However, I am sure with the latest innovation from TCL is on a winner, and I cannot wait to get my hands on a unit. Until that time, I’ll pass on the press release to you as per below. And if it excites you to go and have a look a what this is all about in the flesh so to speak, I hope you have more luck than I did.

You see, good ol’ Gerry H has the exclusive on this, but when I went to my local HN Superstore to get a demo – and I was fully happy to buy there and then – all I got was a blank look and a “Dunno what you are talking about”, comment.

After I convinced the “salesperson” to investigate the store’s own website and the item was found, I was still no better off as it turned out they hadn’t even ordered any …

Anyway, here is the (slightly edited) press release.
