Pro-Cam owner, Ian Bates, explained, “We have used FUJINON lenses for over 30 years so when the opportunity to purchase an HK 75-400mm T2.8 and an HK18-85mm T2.0 came up, we jumped at it. The HK Premier Series are the ultimate in high performance cine zoom lenses and we began using them immediately.” Randall Wood and assistant using a Varicam 35 with FUJINON HK 75-400

One of Pro-Cam’s clients, Randall Wood, is currently using one of the new the HK Premier 75-400 lenses to shoot Flyaways. The untold story

Bates continued, “Randall took one of the new the HK Premier 75-400 lenses to the Great Sandy Straight in Queensland to film the migration. Many of the shots are dawn and dusk so a fast, premium, long lens was required and the HK Premier 75-400 was the ideal choice.”

Pro-Cam have also serviced the legal profession with corporate video for over 30 years.
They shoot CLE training at the Queensland Law Society with Panasonic box cameras and FUJINON lenses.

Bates added, “We have a similar setup with the Queensland Bar Association. As part of this arrangement deGroots Wills and Estates lawyers recently approached us to produce a high-end production on succession law in our studio. This was filmed on two Varicams, one with the FUJINON 18-55 F2. The second camera used a 19-90 FUJINON Cabrio lens. We then edited the programme and played it out delayed with a live Q&A.”

Pro-Cam have also recently used four Varicam 35s and FUJINON lenses to shoot a piano competition at the Queensland Concert of music with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra.Bates said, “Two cameras had the new HK Premier lenses and the other two had FUJINON Cabrios. We iso recorded in 4K and live streamed the switch in HD to judges all over the world.”

It’s clear that Ian Bates and the Pro-Cam team are big fans of FUJIFILM Australia, FUJINON lenses and in particular their new HK Premier lenses.

Bates concluded, “As a long time FUJIFILM client we can trust FUJINON to deliver exceptional lenses that will meet the expectations of our clients. These lenses are very fast, of exceptional quality and are really one of a kind in the marketplace. We do a lot of live work, so prime lenses are not an option, however we need the quality of primes. We have 10 Panasonic Varicams so we need a lot of matching glass for talk shows, low light stage plays and concerts and the FUJINON lenses are ideal for these types of productions. We also appreciate the excellent support and service Simon Murphy and FUJIFILM Australia team give us – they are second to none.”
