Amazon Studios stops taking submissions

If you had a plan to emulate, oh I dunno, The Grand Tour (the ex-Top Gear guys) or other such shows and have a script or video to send to Amazon Studios for perusal and approval, sadly, forget it.

As of April 13, 2018, we are no longer accepting submissions. Submissions received will continue to be reviewed and evaluated by Amazon Studios and will be available on our website until June 30, 2018. Thank you all for your contributions.”

This was emailed to all interested parties yesterday (the 14th in Australia).

Amazon goes on to say they are always trying to reinvent themselves, and while it is no longer accepting submissions there are other options such as www.withoutabox.com, IMDBPro and Prime Video Direct.

All existing submissions will be evaluated by June 30th apparently, and responded to (don’t hold your breath on acceptance I am guessing) and the online Storybuilder, a free and easy to use screenwriting tool, will remain available for use.

Storybuilder uses a cards, notes, images and tags metaphor.
